KRUEGS FEST - Update.

THANK YOU to all who attended Kruegs Fest and made it such a success.  This event raised $1,400 for the Camo Quilt Project!

Remembering "Kruegs"

The late Amy Krueger, a SSgt. in the US Army, was a victim of the 2009 Fort Hood attack.

In honor of Staff Sgt. Amy Krueger, a victim of the Texas Fort Hood Shooting, and to benefit the Fisher House of Milwaukee and the Camo Quilt Project of Plymouth, the first annual KruegsFest will be held on June 30 at TJ’s Sports Bar and Grill in Manitowoc, Wis.

From noon to 8 p.m., four rock bands with family ties to Amy will be donating their time and talents to pay tribute to one of our fallen heroes. Bands playing include SugarNova (Plymouth) featuring her cousins Dave Howell and Curtis Voigt, Consult the Briefcase (Stevens Point/Milwaukee) with cousin Shaun Krueger, the Charlie Bucket Band (Manitowoc) with uncle Dan Krueger, and a special reunion set by the Deweys, who will be playing together for the first time in nearly eight years.

In addition to live music, this benefit will feature food and beverage specials, and raffles featuring 50/50 cash prizes and other donated items will be available during the event at TJ's, with all proceeds going to the Fisher House of Milwaukee and the Camo Quilt Project of Plymouth.

“Amy's love for music went deep into her life and many events with her have a song that sparks a funny episode or just an enjoyable memory,” said Dan Krueger, uncle of SSG Krueger. “We know she will be here with us, rocking along!” Be a part of this new tradition and spend an afternoon like no other paying tribute to one of our fallen hero’s honor and sacrifice at KruegsFest.
